Jane Morley at Bankley Studios

Jane Morley’s previous paintings have been inspired by modernist architecture and classical landscape painting. Images that suggest idealism and aspiration. Her work has dealt with perceptions of escape and sanctuary. Devoid of people the landscapes are invented, the focus being on architecture and composition. Her current work deals with actual locations. Retaining a sense of detachment her new paintings give a cropped picture postcard view of interior/exterior shots of mainly urban locations.
