Bankley Studios & Gallery Open Studios 2007
Over thirty artists from all artistic disciplines, who use Bankley Studios as a base for their contemporary art practice, throw open the doors to their individual spaces for this annual event. Painting & drawing, sculpture, photography and video art-forms are represented, show-casing the diversity and quality of work by artists currently resident at this renowned artist-run collective.
All Beginning With...
'All Beginning With...' welcomes Smallpond - Salford & Manchester Artists Link to Bankley Gallery. Curated by Andy Magee (Artist/Chair Smallpond), Emma Watling (Artist/Bankley Gallery Manager) and Gary James Williams (Artist/Bankley Studios Treasurer), 'All Beginning With...' is the first exhibition in collaboration with Bankley Gallery & Smallpond of selected practicing artists within the established artist run studios groups based in Salford and Manchester under one roof.
A tale of two cities, 'All Beginning With...' showcases the work of over 20 selected nationally and internationally exhibiting regional artists in a single exhibition, presenting a broad range of cutting edge contemporary art practice encompassing - painting, photography, sculpture, installation and the moving image.
