Bankley Gallery is pleased to present these energetic new mixed media works by three Bankley studios artists.

All three artists' work shows a preoccupation with place and time. The collaged and reworked surfaces of Adele White's paintings and structures incorporate the ephemera and detritus of living which evidence the passing of time. Maeve O'Connor's paintings both dramatise and bear testimony to a way of viewing the urban landscape in the present, with a consciousness of its past. Jess Morris allows the process of painting to determine the development of her work over time but exhibits, too, an acute awareness of location.

The artists all employ to some degree techniques of layering, erasing and reworking of surfaces and from these processes emerge their very different works.
