Artist exhibition and developmental workshops involving the public,
exploring drawing techniques and materials

Exhibiting Artists include: Julie Campbell, Valerie Clarke, Mary Harrison, Emma Long, Philip Kennedy, Jude Macpherson, Jo Manby, Nicholas Ridehalgh, Helen Sargeant, Claire Tindale and Adele White. Integrated contributions are also provided by Mikel Krumins and Jacob Bee from Total Kunst.

Inspiration for the drawing activities and workshops will be drawn from a garden created inside Bankley Gallery itself. As with last year's popular event, the project will involve a diverse range of drawing techniques and materials and provide exciting creative opportunities for all of those who participate. Art work produced during the workshop activities will be exhibited alongside that of the established artists involved in the exhibition. A special closing event will celebrate the work produced with a projection show of 'light' pictures produced during the 'pin prick drawing' sessions.

The event at Bankley Gallery is organised by resident artists and is part of the National network of Big Draw events. It is supported by the Levenshulme Festival, Manchester, B & Q, Stockport and McVities Workers' Charity Committee.
