100 Adapted Orphans - Jo Clements

The exhibition will show 100 films, displayed as QR codes, that make up the work '100 Adapted Orphans'. Random glimpses of narrative experienced both via the printed text and within the films' content, construct an incomplete and therefore partly imagined analysis of real situations, individuals, theories and movements. The films have been sourced from online moving image archives and respond to the artists ongoing research into the relationships between original intent/provenance, digital consumer and object, copyright and the resulting implications/tensions for the re-appropriation of existing materials.
